Natalie Bledstein, OTR/L, CST-D
Natalie is a graduate of UW-Madison, with degrees in Art (1988) and Occupational Therapy (1995). Over the course of her career, Natalie has consistently been drawn to private practice, as she has found the ability to best meet client and family needs in this environment. Passionate about lifelong learning, Natalie is USC-WPS certified in Sensory Integration, and has achieved both Techniques and Diplomate certifications in CranioSacral therapy. Always curious to learn new information to support client goals, Natalie has studied modulated music systems (Therapeutic Listening and Integrated Listening Systems), reflex integration through the Musgatova Institute and Rhythmic Movement International, fine motor and handwriting skill development through Handwriting Without Tears and First Strokes, vestibular processing (Astronaut Training and other courses), and multiple courses in vision (ocular-motor skills and visual-perceptual skills) as relates to the populations she serves. She is honored to play a role in her clients' lives, celebrating progress and being present with them a short distance on their journey.
Natalie believes in paying forward the benefits she has received from being mentored by others, teaching Craniosacral Therapy workshops as a Certified Instructor for the Upledger Institute, acting as a mentor for therapists, and collaborating with colleagues by co-leading a monthly study group with Emily Klik, LMT, CST. Following her interest in body mechanics and movement, Dina has studied Somatics and is a certified Yoga instructor with experience working with children, adults and individuals with special needs. She has additional training in Therapeutic Listening. Her work with young adults on the Autism spectrum has allowed her to see how important the development of independent living and practical life skills are for her clients. Dina's style is eclectic and playful, with a passion for meeting each client's needs right where they are.
Emily Klik, LMT, CST
Emily is a Certified CranioSacral Therapist, in practice since 2002. She is also a Certified Teaching Assistant and Study Group Leader for the Upledger Institute, and teaches CranioSacral Therapy at East West Healing Arts Institute in Milwaukee. Emily found this gentle bodywork through her personal struggle with migraines. Like many who suffer from migraines, she tried many modalities over time, finally finding relief through CranioSacral Therapy. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, studying anatomy, spending time with family, and enjoying quiet moments in nature.
Alissa Effland, LMT
Alissa began doing bodywork over 20 years ago after being inspired by her own healing journey. Although her true love is CranioSacral Therapy (CST), she has a wealth of knowledge and experience in other modalities that inform her practice. She studied Thai Yoga Therapy in Los Angeles and then traveled to Chiang Mai, Thailand to complete her advanced training and certification. She also completed a year-long program in acupressure, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) theory and Chinese medical massage (called TuiNa). Alissa has studied Myofascial Release (MFR) techniques for the pelvis and cervical-thoracic areas through John F. Barnes. Alissa is trained in the CST core curriculum through the Upledger Institute, and will be completing specialized CST training in pediatrics and sensory integration in July and early August 2019. Alissa has sought to develop her skills through the formal Upledger mentorship program, and is an active participant in her local CST study group.
Alissa enjoys witnessing her clients experience dramatic shifts and deep healing from within. She is passionate about providing a healing experience through listening and compassionate touch. She is dedicated to helping people live healthier, happier lives. In her private life Alissa enjoys West-African drumming, yoga, mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing and being in nature with her husband and identical twin daughters.
